Four Finishes
Ivory Bouclé and Sand Bouclé are the classic pairing with wood — looped texture, hides small marks, warm to lean against.
Cedar Green Bouclé is the one decision here. A muted natural green that reads as an accent without shouting, and sits particularly well against oak.
Cream Velvet is the outlier: smoother and richer, and it makes the same chair read as formal rather than relaxed. It also shows more than bouclé does.
The Wooden Legs
Exposed timber lifts the seat off the floor so the room shows through underneath, and it ties the chair to other wood you already have — flooring, a dining table, a TV unit. A fully upholstered chair floats; a wood-legged one belongs.
It also means a vacuum head goes underneath, which a plinth base does not allow.
Placing It
At 86cm wide and 88cm tall this is a full-size armchair, not a compact one. Leave about 30cm of clear space on each side. Beside a sofa, keep the seat heights within about 5cm of each other.
