Three Spheres Instead of Posts
Balls rather than legs. It sounds like a gimmick and it is not: a sphere touches the floor at a single point, so the table looks like it is resting rather than standing, and an 85cm top reads lighter than its size suggests.
There is a practical side too. Three points of contact cannot rock on an uneven floor — something four legs do constantly on tiled UAE flooring.
85cm at 40cm Tall
The two-thirds rule puts this alongside a sofa of about 130cm and up. At 40cm it sits at or just below most sofa seats.
A round top has no corners to walk into, which is useful where the gap behind the sofa is tight, and safer around small children.
Charcoal Wood
A dark veneer over a solid core. It hides daily marks better than any pale finish and anchors a room of light furniture. In a room that is already dark it will feel heavy — there our pale ash table keeps the space open.
Veneer honesty: a deep scratch reaches the board underneath and cannot be sanded out the way solid timber can.
