Round, and Why It Suits Small Rooms
A rectangular table has four corners to walk into. Where the gap between the sofa and the wall is tight, a round top removes that problem entirely — you pass it at any angle without catching a shin.
It is also the safer shape around small children, and it seats people more evenly: nobody ends up at a corner.
70cm Across, 35cm Tall
The two-thirds rule puts a 70cm table alongside a sofa of about 105cm — a compact two-seater. Next to a large three-seater it will look undersized; there our 122cm square table holds the space properly.
At 35cm it sits lower than most sofa seats, which suits modern low-profile sofas and keeps the sightline across the room open.
Four Wood Tones
Sand Oak and White Wood keep a room feeling open. Amber Walnut warms it and ties into other timber you already have. Black Wood anchors a pale scheme and hides marks best.
Solid Ash
Solid timber rather than veneer over board. It takes a knock without exposing a different material underneath, and it can be sanded back if it is ever badly marked.
