The curved, stacked form breaks that. It reads as an object you chose rather than a unit you needed, which is the whole reason to pay more for it than for a plain chest.
Where to Put It
This one wants to be seen from more than one angle — on a wall you walk past, or at the end of a room rather than tucked into a corner. Pushed flat against a wall between a wardrobe and a window, the shape is wasted.
It also suits a bedroom that is otherwise plain. In a room with a fluted wardrobe, a curved headboard and a round mirror, it becomes one curve too many.
Before You Order
Leave about 50cm of clear floor in front so the drawers open fully, and check your doorway and lift — the piece does not come apart.
Safety note: drawer units can tip if a child climbs on an open drawer. Secure it to the wall with an anti-tip bracket if there are young children in the home.
