Hand-Painted Means Variation
The floral detail is applied by hand rather than printed, which is why the price sits where it does. It also means what arrives will differ slightly from the photograph — a brushstroke here, a slightly different placement there.
That is the point of a hand-finished piece, not a fault. If you want two that match exactly for either side of a bed, message our team before ordering so they can pair them at the warehouse.
Royal Blue Is a Decision
This is the only strong colour in our lamp range, and a lamp is a good place to take that risk — it is small, it moves, and it costs a fraction of what a coloured sofa would.
Blue and gold together read as classical rather than contemporary. In a stripped-back modern apartment it will look imported from a different room; alongside wood furniture, patterned textiles or traditional detailing it belongs.
For a neutral alternative at half the price, our speckled ceramic lamp does the same job quietly.
Getting the Height Right
Beside a bed, the bottom of the shade should sit at roughly eye level when you are sitting up. On a console, aim for a total height of about 75–85cm from the floor.

Choose warm white, around 2700–3000K — warm light is what makes gold detailing glow. Cool white flattens it. For the fitting and whether a bulb is included, message our team on WhatsApp.
