Two Pieces Instead of One
A single large sectional locks your layout in place. Two separate pieces let you set them at an angle, face them toward each other, or place one as a room divider between the living and dining areas — which is exactly the problem most Dubai open-plan apartments have.
It also means you can move one piece to another room later without the set looking incomplete.
Using a Sofa as a Divider
In an open-plan room, the back of a sofa marks where one zone ends and another begins — more effective than a rug and less permanent than a partition. Leave at least 80cm of walkway behind it, and put a console table or low shelf against the back so it does not look like furniture that has been pushed out of place.
