Organic Modern White Bouclé Armchair with Sculptural Wood Base

A U-shaped upholstered shell on a sculptural wood base, in four fabrics. The shell wraps round from one arm to the other in a single unbroken line — no separate armrests, no visible frame at the sides.

A Wrap-Around Seat

A U-shaped shell holds you rather than supporting you from behind. Your back and both arms rest against the same continuous surface, so there is no hard edge where an armrest meets a backrest — which is where most armchairs become uncomfortable after twenty minutes.

It also reads as a single object from every angle, which is why it works away from a wall as well as against one.

Four Fabrics, and What Each Is For

• White Bouclé — looped texture, hides small marks, warm to lean against
• Taupe Chenille — soft with a slight sheen, the most forgiving mid-tone
• Sand Linen — tightly woven, breathable, the coolest to sit on
• Brown Sugar Linen — same weave in a deeper tone, hides wear best

Linen is worth considering specifically in a UAE living room. A tightly woven natural fabric stays cooler against the skin than velvet or bouclé — noticeable if the chair sits where afternoon sun reaches it.

The Wood Base

An exposed wood base lifts the shell off the floor, so a substantial chair does not read as a block. It also means a vacuum head goes underneath, which a fully upholstered plinth does not allow.

Placing It

Leave about 30cm of clear space on each side. Beside a sofa, keep the seat heights within 5cm of each other.
