An artificial topiary with a spiral-trained trunk — the shape a real one takes several years of pruning to achieve.
Why This Shape Costs What It Does
A spiral topiary is not a plant that grows that way. On a real tree the trunk is trained around a form over years, which is why they are expensive and why they are usually seen in hotel lobbies rather than homes.
An artificial one gives the same architectural shape immediately, and keeps it — a real spiral needs regular pruning or it grows out of form within a season.
Where It Belongs
Entrances, either side of a doorway, or flanking a console. Topiary is a formal, symmetrical shape, and it works hardest in pairs — one on its own reads as a plant, two read as an entrance.
In a relaxed or minimal room it may look too formal. There a bonsai tree sits more quietly.
Artificial, Honestly
It never needs water, light or feeding, and it survives being left through a UAE summer — which is the reason artificial greenery makes sense here at all.
The one thing it does need is dusting. Wipe the leaves every few weeks; dusty artificial foliage is what makes it obvious.
