The Case for a Plain Bed
Every detail on a bed frame is a commitment. Tufting, channelling, a distinctive curve — each one narrows what else works in the room, and each one dates at its own pace. A plain velvet frame does none of that: it works with any bedding, any bedside table, any wall colour, and it will look the same in ten years as it does now.
Velvet is what keeps it from being dull. The pile shifts tone as light moves across it, so a plain shape still has depth — which a flat fabric on the same frame would not.

Before You Order
Velvet shows marks more than a tightly woven fabric and needs brushing in the direction of the pile. A bed frame gets far less contact than a sofa, so it stays cleaner than people expect — but if there are young children in the house, ask our team about a Terylene or bouclé option instead.
Leave around 60cm of clear floor on each side you walk past, and measure your doorway and lift.
