Large Low-Profile Club Chair in Velvet or Bouclé

A large low-profile club chair, 114cm wide, in six colours across velvet and bouclé — twelve combinations in all.

114cm, and Who Actually Needs It

A standard armchair is 70–90cm wide. At 114cm this is a villa-scale piece: it holds its own beside a three-seater sofa, fills a large corner properly, and lets one person sit sideways with room to spare.

In a standard apartment living room it will dominate, and you will lose walking space you need. Our 65cm compact accent chair is the other end of the range if space is the constraint.

Six Colours, Two Fabrics

Choose the fabric first. Bouclé — looped texture, hides small marks, warm to lean against. Velvet — deeper colour, shifts tone as light crosses it, shows more.

Then the colour. Ash, White and Black are the neutrals. Navy and Olive are strong colours that still behave like neutrals in a room of wood and cream. Dusty Rose is the softest and the one most likely to date — worth being certain about at this size, because 114cm of pink is a decision rather than an accent.

Low Profile at 100cm Tall

Wide but not tall. A low back on a wide frame stops the chair reading as a block and keeps the sightline across the room open, which is what makes a large piece liveable.

The usual trade-off: lower seats are harder to get out of. Worth considering if older family members will use the room daily.

Before You Order

114cm wide and 80cm deep. Measure the floor space, the doorway and the lift — a chair this wide does not turn easily through a standard door frame.
