Industrial High Dining Set — 7 Piece, Seats 6

A high dining table with a slatted wood top on a metal frame, with six matching high chairs. Bar height rather than standard dining height — 105cm table, 85cm seats.

High Dining Is a Deliberate Choice

A standard dining table is 75cm with 45cm seats. This is 105cm with 85cm seats — counter height, the same as a kitchen island.

Two reasons that works outdoors. Sitting higher lifts your eye line over a balcony railing or a garden wall, so you see the view instead of the barrier. And a high table suits standing as well as sitting, which is how outdoor gatherings actually work — people drift between the two.

The trade-off is real: high seating is less comfortable for a long meal, and harder for older guests or young children to get into. For a family that eats outside every evening, a standard-height set like our foldable dining set is more practical and costs far less.

Slatted Wood on Metal

A slatted top drains rather than pooling water, and it lets air move through so the timber dries from both sides — which is why outdoor tables are built this way and indoor ones are not.

The metal frame carries the weight and keeps the structure rigid at height. A tall table on a light frame wobbles; this one is built for the proportions.

Seating Six Outdoors

Allow roughly 90cm of clear space behind each chair so people can push back and get down from a high seat — more than you would need for standard chairs, because getting off a bar stool takes more room.

This is a terrace or garden piece. It is too large for a standard apartment balcony.

Looking After It Here

• Clean with a soft damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals on the wood.
• Use a cover through the summer months — five months of unshaded UAE sun greys untreated timber and fades cushion fabric.
• Rinse sand off after a storm rather than brushing it across the slats.
