Fluting, and Why It Suits a Bedroom
A plain drawer front is a flat white rectangle: functional, forgettable. Vertical fluting catches light along its length, so the same piece has depth and shadow through the day. It is the difference between a chest that stores clothes and one that finishes the room.
The gold handles and hairpin legs do the rest. Legs lift the piece off the floor so it reads as furniture rather than built-in — and a vacuum head goes underneath, which a plinth base does not allow.
Six Drawers, Split Two by Three
Two columns of three is more useful than six stacked drawers. You can separate by person, or by type — folded clothes one side, everything else the other — without digging through a single deep drawer to find one thing.
Before You Order
Measure the wall, and leave room for the drawers to open fully — about 50cm of clear floor in front. Check the doorway and lift too; a six-drawer chest does not come apart.
Safety note: tall drawer units can tip if a child climbs on an open drawer. Secure it to the wall with an anti-tip bracket if there are young children in the home — our team can advise on this at delivery.
