Onyx Matte Bedside Table

Two push-to-open drawers behind a completely flat front — no handles, no hardware, nothing breaking the line. At 55cm wide it is one of our larger bedside tables, so it holds more than the usual lamp and phone.

Two Drawers Instead of One

One drawer holds what you reach for nightly. Two lets you separate that from what you only want out of sight — medication, chargers, documents, the things that make a bedroom look cluttered when they sit on top.

At 55 × 40cm the surface still takes a lamp, a book and a glass without crowding, which a narrow nightstand does not.

Handleless, and the Honest Trade-Off

Push-to-open keeps the front face flat, which is what makes a simple piece look designed. It also removes the one thing you grab in the dark half asleep. The trade-off is mechanical: a push latch has moving parts a handle does not. Ours are covered by the 1-year warranty, but a handled drawer will always be the simpler long-term thing.

Check the Height Against Your Bed

At 50cm this sits at the lower end of our range — it suits a standard bed frame where the mattress top is around 50–55cm. The top of the table should be level with your mattress top, or within about 5cm.

Buy the Pair

Most bedrooms need two. Ordering a set of 2 means both arrive together in the same finish batch — worth having when the pair sit either side of a bed in plain view.
