Why Folding Matters Here
Outdoor furniture in the UAE has a season. From roughly October to April a balcony is usable most evenings. From May to September it is 45°C outside and nobody sits there at all.

Acacia and Powder-Coated Steel
Acacia is a dense hardwood with natural oils that resist moisture — the standard timber for outdoor furniture, and the reason this can live on a balcony rather than in a garden room.
The steel frame is powder-coated rather than painted, which is a baked-on finish that resists chipping and rust far better. Feet are polypropylene, so they will not mark tiled flooring.
Looking After It in the UAE
- Wipe with mild soapy water and dry with a cloth. Do not leave it wet.
- Re-stain the wood once or twice a year — UAE sun dries timber out and untreated acacia will grey and crack.
- Store it folded through the summer months, or cover it.
- Rinse dust off after a sandstorm rather than wiping it in.
