This One Needs Space
A curved sofa is not a wall sofa. Push it flat against a wall and the curve disappears — you lose the whole point of the design and gain a gap behind it. It belongs in the middle of an open-plan room, or floating away from the wall with a console or lamp behind.
Allow at least 60cm of clear floor on the open sides. If your living room is narrow or the sofa has to sit against a wall, a straight design will serve you better.
What Curves Do to a Room
Most rooms are made of straight lines — walls, doors, windows, cabinetry. A curved sofa is the one piece that breaks that, which is why it reads as a design decision rather than furniture. It also softens a room with hard floors and hard edges, without needing rugs and cushions to do the work.
