90cm of Depth
Seat depth is the measurement almost nobody checks and the one that decides whether a chair actually gets used. A standard armchair is around 75–80cm deep. At 90cm this one lets you fold your legs under you or stretch them across the seat — the positions people take when they genuinely relax.
The trade-off is worth saying plainly. If you are shorter than about 165cm and want to sit upright with your back against the backrest, your feet will not reach the floor comfortably. A cushion behind your back fixes it, but then you are paying for depth you are not using. Our high-back armchair is the better upright seat, and costs less.
Curved Armrests
A squared armrest puts a hard edge exactly where your elbow lands. Curved arms roll away from you instead, so there is no line to press against during a long sit. It is a small detail that decides comfort after the first twenty minutes.
Before You Order
78cm wide and 90cm deep is a substantial footprint for a single seat. Measure the space, and measure the doorway and lift — a deep chair turns awkwardly through a standard door frame. Leave about 30cm of clear space on each side.
