Thirty-Three Combinations, Narrowed Down
Choose the fabric first, then the colour. It is a far easier decision in that order.
- Bouclé — looped texture, hides small marks, warm to lean against. The practical one for a piece used daily.
- Velvet — deepest colour, shifts tone as light crosses it. Richest, and shows the most.
- Mélange — a flecked weave that reads as a mixed tone rather than a flat colour, which makes it the most forgiving where nothing quite matches.
Then the colour. White, Sand, Taupe, Sage Gray and Black are the neutrals. Terracotta, Mocha and Dusty Rose warm a room. Mint and Navy cool it. Olive sits between and is the easiest of the strong colours to live with.
107cm Deep
Unusually deep for a two-seater — most are 85 to 95cm. That extra depth is what makes it comfortable to lounge sideways on, and it is also what makes it feel like a piece of furniture rather than a compromise.
The honest consequence: 107cm of depth eats floor space. In a small living room, measure the walking route past it before ordering.
