What a Sled Frame Does
A sled base is two continuous runners instead of four legs. Three practical effects: it spreads weight so the chair does not dent a rug or soft flooring, it cannot wobble on an uneven floor, and it slides rather than scrapes when you move it.
Visually it draws a horizontal line under the chair, which grounds a tall or wide shape. It also means nothing to catch a foot on.
Eight Colourways — Choose the Fabric First
Bouclé in Ivory, Sand, Camel or Cedar Green. Looped texture, hides small marks, warm to lean against — the practical choice for daily use.
Velvet in Ivory, Sand, Camel or Cedar Green. Deeper colour, shifts tone as light moves across it, richer in a formal room — but shows more.
Then the colour. Ivory and Sand keep a room open. Camel is the warm mid-tone that works with wood and brass. Cedar Green is the decision — a muted natural green that reads as an accent without shouting.
Placing It
Leave about 30cm of clear space on each side. A sled base needs a flat run of floor — it will not sit level half-on and half-off a rug edge.
