A Globe Lights Differently
A drum shade throws light down and blocks it sideways. A globe emits in every direction at once, so it lights the surface it stands on, the wall behind it and the ceiling above — all softly.
That makes it the better choice where the lamp is the only light source in a corner. It also means it is not a reading lamp: the light is diffuse rather than directed, so a book gets an even wash rather than a bright pool. For reading, our slim brass lamp directs light where you need it.
The Ruffles
The folded surface catches light along every ridge, so the globe has texture and shadow instead of being a plain white ball. Switched off it reads as a sculptural object; switched on the ridges glow at different intensities.
Where It Belongs
A bedside table, a console, a shelf, or a bathroom counter. It is small and round, so it fills an awkward gap that a tall lamp would dominate.
Give it a plain background — against patterned wallpaper or a busy shelf the shape is lost.
The Bulb
Choose warm white, around 2700–3000K. On a white globe the bulb colour is the lamp's colour — cool white turns the whole thing blue-grey. For the fitting and whether a bulb is included, message our team on WhatsApp.
