180cm or 220cm?
- 180 × 80cm — seats 6. The practical choice for most apartments and family homes
- 220 × 80cm — seats 8. For villas, or if you host regularly
Allow around 90cm of clear space on the long sides where chairs pull out. A 180cm table needs a room roughly 3.6m wide; 220cm needs about 4m. The 80cm depth is deliberate — wide enough for serving dishes down the middle, narrow enough not to eat the room.
