150 x 120cm, and Who Needs It
This is villa scale, or a large open-plan living room where seating faces the table from more than one side. The two-thirds rule puts it alongside a sofa of roughly 225cm and up — a large sectional.
In an ordinary apartment living room it will swallow the walking space. Our 120cm marble table is the right scale there, at a lower price.
Three Finishes
White Marble & Walnut — pale stone against warm timber, the brightest of the three and the one that keeps a large table from reading as heavy.
Black Marble & Black Wood — a single dark mass. Dramatic in a pale room, overwhelming in a dark one.
Walnut — timber throughout, no stone. The warmest of the three and by far the most forgiving in daily use, since there is nothing to stain.
Arched Base
The base combines arched and rectangular forms rather than four matching legs, which gives a very large top something to look at underneath. It also means the supports sit inboard of the corners, so there is nothing at the edges to catch a foot.
Natural Stone
The two marble finishes are cut from real stone, so the veining will not match the photograph exactly. Marble stains: coffee, wine and oil mark it if left sitting, and a hot mug can leave a ring. Use coasters and wipe spills quickly.
