The Two Measurements That Matter
A sofa bed has two footprints and people only ever check one.
Folded: 210cm long, 93cm deep, 67cm tall. That is a full three-seater footprint — not a compact piece.
Open: the sleeping surface is 180 x 120cm. Wide enough for one adult comfortably, or two at a squeeze. It is narrower than a queen bed, so set expectations before a long guest stay.
Before ordering, check there is 90 to 120cm of clear floor in front of the sofa for the bed to open into. A sofa bed that cannot open is just an expensive sofa.
Terylene, and Why It Suits This Piece
Terylene is a tightly woven synthetic with no pile to crush and no loops to catch. It wipes down, and it holds colour under strong light rather than fading — which matters in a UAE apartment where a sofa may sit in afternoon sun for years.
The honest trade-off: it has none of bouclé's texture or velvet's depth. It looks like what it is, a plain well-made fabric. If you want the sofa to add texture, our bouclé sofa bed does that.
