Why a Swivel Base Changes the Room
A fixed chair faces one direction. In an open-plan apartment — living room flowing into dining and kitchen — that means choosing between facing the television, facing the sofa, or facing the people cooking.
A swivel chair does not choose. Turn it toward the room for conversation, toward the window for reading, toward the screen for a film. It is the single most useful chair in a space where the seating has to work for more than one thing.
It is also the reason to put a chair in a corner where a fixed one would face a wall.
Before You Order
A swivel chair needs clearance all the way round — that is the whole point. Allow at least 40cm of clear floor on every open side, and do not push it against a wall or into a tight corner. A swivel chair that cannot turn is just a chair.
Also worth knowing: swivel bases have a moving mechanism that a static chair does not. Ours are covered by the 1-year warranty.
White Bouclé
The looped texture breaks up light, so small marks settle into the weave rather than sitting on the surface — which is what makes white workable on a chair in daily use. Not stain-proof; ask our team about darker options if it will take food and drinks.
