Bright, tropical notes suit entrances, living rooms and anywhere you want energy. They are usually the wrong choice for a bedroom, where a softer scent helps you wind down instead.
Keep it away from air-conditioning vents, which disperse it too fast for it to build, and away from the kitchen, where it competes with cooking rather than complementing it.
