Deep Seats Change How You Sit
A standard sofa has a seat depth around 55cm — you sit upright, feet on the floor. A deep-seat sofa is closer to 70cm, which means you sit back into it with your legs up, or with a cushion behind you. It is built for evenings rather than conversations.
Worth knowing before you order: deep seats suit taller people better. If everyone in the house is under about 165cm, feet will not reach the floor comfortably without a cushion at the back. It is not a fault, just a thing to know.
