Where this one earns its price is as a guest room replacement in a study or a small second bedroom — somewhere it will be a sofa most of the year and a proper bed occasionally.

Pale upholstery on a piece that doubles as a bed will need more care than a dark one. If it will take daily family use, a darker sofa bed is the more practical buy.
