Read This Before You Order
A pendant light needs an existing ceiling point to hang from. Most UAE apartments have recessed downlights in a false ceiling and no central fitting at all.
If there is no ceiling point where you want this, you will need an electrician — and in a false ceiling that can mean opening a panel to run the cable. In a rental, check with your landlord first.

How High to Hang It
Over a dining table: the bottom of the shade should sit 75–90cm above the tabletop. Higher and it stops lighting the table; lower and people cannot see each other across it.
In a living room, bedroom or hallway: keep the bottom at least 2.1m from the floor so nobody walks into it.
Why Ruffles Change the Light
A plain shade throws an even circle. A folded surface has thick and thin sections, so light comes through at different intensities across the shade — the pool it casts has soft edges rather than a hard rim.
Switched off, the folds catch daylight and cast their own shadows, so it reads as a sculptural object rather than a fitting.
Where It Belongs
A bedroom, a hallway, or over a small dining table. It is a soft, quiet piece — for a dining room centrepiece, our glass globe chandelier makes more of a statement.
The Bulb
Choose warm white, around 2700–3000K. On a white shade the bulb colour becomes the light's colour — cool white will make the whole fitting read blue-grey.
